Optimization Study of Post-Weld Heat Treatment for 12Cr1MoV Pipe Welded Joint

In order to clarify the role of different post-weld heat treatment processes in manufacturing process, welding tests, and finite element analysis (FEA) are carried out for 12C1MoV steel pipes. The simulated temperature field residual stress agree well with measured results, which indicates that simulation method is available. influence process parameters on reduction results further analyzed. It found post weld dehydrogenation could not release obviously. However, can be relieved by 65% tempering treatment. relief effect “post + temper treatment” same “temper treatment”. higher temperature, greater reduction, when peak at 650–750 °C, especially concentration area. longer holding time has no obvious positive stress.
